Yes, you've read that right. After several months of persuation, I was finally able to come in a game event. The Komikon Congress in Bahay ng Alumni in UP Diliman was the first EB I've attended. Yes. In my whole life.
It was not that grand anyway, but I was able to meet two of my friends in RB [Tukneneng and Exoidol], and I also saw some of the RFBoarders there, though I was not able to talk to them 'cause I'm really shy in facing new people.
I somehow got a great time in Komikon. Aside from seeing how "mangamaniacs" Filipinos are, I also got to play RF Online, one of the newest MMORPG's in the country today. It was really cool, Jorell and I were even taught by Sir ChinoYray about the basics of the game [for a short 15 mins, but heck, it's fun!]. We both waited to get a seat, but I think it was worth the wait. Plus, we also got a few freebies from LU! [I like the Hyper Relay pin, so cute!].
During those hours in Bahay ng Alumni, I got to see GM Phage [well, it's the first time I've seen a GM in RL O_O], Mod Deusexmachina [a... lurker mod? It was only now he showed up] and a funny kid who kept on asking the LU! crew if he can try RF Online [funny scene, really]. I think this one's going to be seen on Massive... 'cause I saw a cameraman strolling around, taking shoots of the people playing HR and RF.
Oh, and another thing, because of this, I got a RF installer from Ate Mai and another SP account [my fault, the one I got from the Role Playing Contest got invalidated =_=] from trying the game.
I kinda wished more people were able to come. Maybe next time. I hope they can think of an event that we'll be able to meet again. Halloween party, anyone? XD
